Exploring L2 Written Corrective Feedback in the Saudi Context: A Critical Review

Written corrective feedback (WCF) has received increased attention in recent years because of its widespread implementation and also due to the philosophical debate around nature, function, potential benefits. The purpose this study is examine areas that demonstrate development terms scope when it comes WCF Saudi context. analyses thirty publications were published between 2016 2021 retrieved from Semantic Scholar Google Scholar, assess key findings on three dimensions: (1) effectiveness WCF; (2) comparative different strategies (3) beliefs attitudes students/teachers toward WCF. Application PRISMA 2020 approach shows most studies Arabia investigated students teachers towards followed by for learners, students. outcomes indicate a number difficulties surrounding need researchers' attention, there address existing technique imbalance including greater diversity research procedures future designs.
